Why not work with the “The Best in the Business" and get ...
Being born into a family with a rich cultural heritage was a wonderful gift. I’ve had the chance to live in many places, in the U.S. and in Europe. When my husband decided to retire in 2002, we began to explore our options. We focused on the lifestyle we wanted and spent three years exploring. As many others will, we chose Western North Carolina. Why?
We love the sunshine here and the changing seasons: a bit of winter cold like a refreshing wind, the re-awakening of spring, the fullness of summer, and the long fall season with its bold colors. A little bit of this… a little bit of that…
The mountains are a luxury in themselves. What a sight to wake up to!
As newcomers we wanted to be sure we would not be outsiders. There are many new residents here and that makes meeting and making new friends easier.
We wanted value for our financial investment.
Buying? I always work with potential buyers as a Buyer’s Agent. That insures my buyers that I am working for them and not as a sub-agent of the seller which is NC’s default real estate position. Having thoroughly explored this region, I am familiar with its diverse offerings. Whether you are looking for a lakehouse, horse acreage, or a cabin in the woods, it will be my pleasure to help you find the property you want. I understand that buying is a process and that you need time to explore and think about the lifestyle you are seeking as well as working to find a house or lot to build on. My knowledge as a former NC appraiser helps assure you that you will get value.
Selling? Selling is a partnership. We both have a job to do. I will make sure you have a thorough and accurate analysis of what your property is likely to sell for and an understanding of the current marketplace and your competitive position. I will market your property expertly using all the technological tools at my disposal.
I never forget that the selling of the house you’ve made your home, and buying a new place to make memories is both exciting and stressful. Remembering my own experiences, whether they were seamless or awful, helps me work hard to insure that my clients have the best possible experience.
My philosophy: We live in an inter-connected world that has thoroughly changed every business including real estate. Innovation is crucial and I am always looking for new ideas and new tools.
Education: Bachelor of Science in business administration. My first real estate career was as a certified residential real estate appraiser. I followed that with my real estate broker licensure in NC and SC. I am an ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) , SFR (short sale and foreclosure) certified. Technology is changing real estate fast and I follow new trends closely. I am IT Certified. I have been certified as a Relocation Specialist.
I always have a new project! I love to read and rare is the day that I do not spend a few minutes reading either for pleasure or news or knowledge. Sometimes I reverse the process: I research and write my own blog for my website, DiscoverLakeLure.com.
At eighteen, I back-packed my way through Europe. I still love to explore and find new places. That’s how we found Lake Lure!
Learn much, work hard, love generously, and remember to laugh
